"From the moment we saw Carolyn's website, The Florist on the Hill, we knew that we were onto something special. When we did our first consultation with her, we were sure of it! Carolyn provides a bespoke and highly personalised service with a warmth and care that is rare in the big business of weddings.

Living around the corner from Carolyn, we would pass her garden and watch our flowers grow as it came into spring, and it really made the whole experience that bit more special. We sat in her garden and her workshop doing our final consultation before the wedding, and she made everything seem like it would be so easy! She was full of creativity and beautiful ideas, with practical touches about how to best maximise the use of the arrangements we had. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Carolyn would Whatsapp or Instagram message me every so often with inspiration and ideas, sending me photos of the flowers that would be used in my bouquet and really made me excited for the upcoming day. Her energy is infectious, and really lifted me on days when things were getting a little overwhelming.

On the day of the wedding Carolyn presented me with the most beautiful bouquet I could ever have imagined - she really brought my vision to life. Our bridesmaids bouquets, pocket squares and boutonnieres were also so beautiful, and our outdoor arrangement was absolutely stunning. It was the most fabulous frame for our ceremony backing onto the garden, which she then moved onto a stairs out of the way to act as a photo background but also then as a beautiful backdrop to out speeches. The next day, Carolyn broke down all the arrangements to make up little flower jars for our friends and family to take home as wedding favours - not only a gorgeous little token, but also such a clever and sustainable use of our beautiful flowers. She also took loads of photos which was great because we didn't have our phones all day!! Since the wedding our guests continue rave about the floral arrangements and they are a highlight of the photos!

We were so proud to support an Irish, female-owned small business, but particularly after getting to know Carolyn, we're even more proud to support The Florist on the Hill. Not only are the flowers she provides so special, the real highlight of the service is Carolyn herself - she is a ray of sunshine, light and positivity. "I don't even know how to thank you enough for the beautiful flowers you created for our wedding. I absolutely loved them, we were getting compliments all day and night long. They look deadly in photographs, and I am so, SO glad that I found you to create my dream wedding flowers. You captured exactly what I wanted. I trusted you the whole way along to do your thing! Who knew flowers could have such an impact on your wedding day, but it just wouldn't have looked the same without them and it suited the vibe of our day perfectly. I want to get married again just so I can work with you!

We were able to give loads of the table pieces to guests which was such a special 'goodiebag' as they were calling it! I'll be telling everyone about you and thank you so much for all the videos and pictures on Instagram, I didn't have my phone on the day so I'm delighted to see them! Oh and the tables in the ceremony room were deadly, and where you had the pieces from the ceremony room - obviously I hadn't seen all that before you left. I'm just amazed and when I think of my wedding flowers it was just a special thing between my mum and me, with you including her bracelet in my bouquet and the two of you in cahoots!

"From the moment I chatted to Carolyn I knew I wanted her to be the florist for my wedding. After answering a few questions, she sent me back a mood board that totally encapsulated my vision. As someone who adores flowers and was so excited about this aspect of wedding planning, I knew I was in safe hands with Carolyn as her passion for her work is incredibly evident. We kept in regular contact and when the wedding got closer we met in person to go through finer details, and I trusted her implicitly to come up with something amazing!

To say I was ecstatic with my wedding flowers is an understatement. My bouquet complimented my dress perfectly, every detail considered. I got so many compliments from guests about how beautiful they were. And I cannot stop looking at pictures of our flower arch! Even my husband who could care less about flowers usually remarked on how gorgeous the arch was. It just made our ceremony pictures. ‘’Right from the first time we contacted Carolyn she has been a superstar and became a friend very quickly! Her ideas and her attention to detail are second to none.

The flowers were the element of our day that most people commented on due to how stunning and different they were. It wasn't only the beautiful displays that Carolyn assembled (from her own garden!) but how involved she was and the reassurance she gave us on the day.

"We chose Carolyn because we saw that she was different from anything we had seen before. Her positive way of being and her mind full of ideas were essential for our ceremony. Working with her was very pleasant, always willing to help and listen to us at any time. I have only lived in Ireland for 3 years and organizing a wedding without knowing where to go or who to ask was difficult, but somehow Carolyn always made me feel calm and confident that everything was going to turn out well and it did!

All I wanted was a wedding full of flowers and colors to mark such an important day for us. As soon as I entered the wedding venue and saw the flowers, I just wanted to cry with happiness!! Carolyn exceeded all of our expectations. During the ceremony I had a hard time concentrating, because my eyes were only looking at the flowers on the altar haha. My bouquet, the buttonholes and the mini bouquets for the girls were the most beautiful to complement and continue with the colors at the wedding.

I want to personally thank Carolyn for making our marriage look amazing. She was able to express through flowers and colors the happiness we felt that day. Even days later people asked us WHERE THOSE BEAUTIFUL AND BIG DAHLIAS CAME FROM!!
